The regulations

Rules

Structure

Under nine teams: one division, full round robin, everyone plays everyone once.

Nine to sixteen teams: two divisions, seeded by ability, round robin within each, finals day between the top two of each.

Over sixteen teams: three or four divisions, with promotion and relegation for season two.

Fixture windows

Ten day windows. One catch-up week after round three and another before finals. Every fixture is generated at the start so you can plan around holidays; each round is revealed once the previous window closes.

Match format

Best of three sets. Tiebreak at six games all. Third set played as a championship tiebreak to ten points, win by two. Roughly seventy minutes — one court booking.

Points

  • Win: 3 points
  • Loss having won a set: 1 point
  • Loss in straight sets: 0 points
